Neptune’s atelier expands
Neptune’s current workshop in Zwaagdijk-East in the Netherlands will expand, with the construction of an extra attic. The addition of a 500m2 space will significantly increase production capacity and will play host to modern machinery, with a focus on producing ship and project upholstery.
For thirty years, Neptune has been innovating in the field of seating and sleeping comfort onboard pleasure boats and superyachts, without sacrificing quality, durability or safety. Its work following IMO regulations, including fire safety, within the maritime sector has seen Neptune receive increasingly-specific requests for both small and large projects where seating and sleeping comfort on board are paramount. The time of a thin mattress and a pillow here and there are long past, with today’s water sports enthusiasts expecting durability, quality, and safety in their onboard bedding, without compromise on comfort.
With a full order book, the extra attic is a welcome addition to Neptune’s recently-renovated 850m2 workshop. The combination of both additions means company is creating more workplaces and a more-efficient working environment which has allowed installation of extra equipment.
Lift tables, extra sewing machines and work tables for the employees have been ordered, with a special glue spraying device for the mattress department already installed. The attic was placed at the end of March and the new studio is expected to be fully operational in May.
